The History Of Paday Records

Paday Records is a small independent record label started in 1979 in Martinsville, Indiana by Patrick L. Davis (lead guitarist for the late legendary Country/Rock N' Roll singer Bobby Helms (Jingle Bell Rock, My Special Angel,) & Pat's Brother, David Davis (Bobby Helms' long time friend and author of the book written about Bobby Helms' life story.)

The label was started to produce local Country, Gospel, and Christmas projects for local arists including Pat's own projects. Like "Let's Keep the Christ in Christmas".

However, the label lay dorment for several years in the late eighties, & nineties, when Pat's music career ended because he felt God calling him into the ministry/pastorship.

ln 1999 Pat's daughter Lisa revived the label by producing her band's (The Sound in the Wilderness) first project (Lift Your Hands To The Lord).
